As an aquarium fish enthusiast, I have always loved anything related to this fishy hobby. Many people search high and low for some rare species of fish. In nature and in the aquarium, most fishes are intricately designed and colored. Whether this is thanks to fancy flowing fins or impressive color patterns, there is an infinite variety of fish to bring joy to anybody!
Thanks to some talented stained glass artists, these qualities have been brought to the art form. Stained glass fish are now available in a variety species. Are you a goldfish nut? You got it – there are stained glass goldfish in both realistic and fun color combinations. Perhaps you prefer bettas (as do I). Well there are stained glass bettas available in halfmoon, plakat, and wildtype varieties for you.
Now, some people prefer fishing rather than keeping fish. Well, thankfully, stained glass fish can be found mimicking species that are commonly fished for – trout, salmon, bass, and many more.
The best thing about stained glass fish is that with this art form the details of fins and color can be captured in ways that make the fish seem to come to life. In the past, I have made stained glass fish that are three dimensional and can sit on a desktop to keep you company – just like many bettas do worldwide! Watch out though – sometimes you will find yourself wanting more and more, just like you do with your aquarium fish!
